Starting permission is required from now on when racing in Sweden

Just the other day the Swedish Federation decided that everyone from another country, even from another Nordic country now need a starting permission from their own federation. The back ground reasons for this are simple.

To organize a race means you are responsible to check that all licensed riders actually has a valid license. But in most countrys you can only access your own license system and therefore only check the national riders licenses. Earlier most federations issued a plastic card as license but nowdays its digital and very easy to manipulate for the ones with some basic skills in photoshop and an urge to save money but also risking lots of problems if anything happens.

With the starting permit for the specific race the organizer get a verification from the license holders federation that the rider is good to go, covered if an accident will happen.

Flat track is a young sport, but this routine is old within many other motorsports so its us as riders who needs to get used to this For our own Nordic battle we just informed signed up riders in mail, but this nw requirement will apply on all races in Sweden from now on.

The application for starting permssions will be sent out to all foreign riders from each race organizer and the foreign federation must return it to each organizer specified for each race.

If you have questions about this please contact the race organizer or your federation who know how this works.
