FIM WC license and NMFP license for Nordic FTC

With this possibility WC-riders like Saku Purtilo #3 and Sammy Halbert #1 can race in Sweden without buying another license. Picture by JP Purtilo
On request from riders abroad its decided that the FIM WC license and NMFP license will be valid at the third round in Vetlanda of this years Nordic Flat Track Cup aka Viking Cup.
To be able to offer this possibility the riders must sign up 45 days prior to race day, no exceptions made. Riders also need to get a starting permit from their own federation before going to Sweden.
– We are happy to offer this possibility even if its an extra cost organizer says. Hopefully both Finland and Norway can do the same, but at the moment this possibility is only for Sweden round.
For riders within Sweden, Norway and Finland only national license is required due to a common agreement between the Nordicx federations, but for riders from other countrys its international license required since neither of the Nordic countrys can offer on one-event-licenses. Both Norway and Sweden has been working on this matter for years, but no success so far.
– To open up for more licensences is somehow a step in the right direction, organizer says and concludes, but we hope the one-event-license will be a reality in close future since many foreign non proffessional riders only race ones or twice abroad a full year international license might be too costly.
