Finnish Championship within Kauhajoki round of Viking Cup

To extend the thrill of racing we are happy to announce that we are adding one round of the Finnish Pro 450 Championship to our second round of Viking Cup in Kauhajoki Finland.

Representatives for Finland Appe Mustonen and Ville Pihjala are happy to get this togheter and inform us about how this will work out during the race day in Kauhajoki.

– The schedule will not change, instead we run the Finnish Championship within the Pro Open class, says Appe Mustonen.

The Finnish Championship is open to all participants as long as themselves and their bike is within the rules of Pro 450. The Finnish riders has to sign up to the Finnish Championship round in their regular Mott-system while foreign riders will be added manually. Organizers ask any non Finnish participant to mail them with all need information and their sign up will be handled and confirmed.

– To ad the Finnish Championship to Viking Cup will certainly benefit the cup and of course this particular round. The Finns for sure showed the rest of our Scandinavian riders that they are fast, maybe the fastest, when participating last year. Having this round included in Viking Cup will definatly attract more riders but also which is really important, show the spectators the wide range of classes, speed and bikes. Viking Cup is equal to varaity and inclusion and we do like to think we cover it all now, says the Swedish organizer.

From June 2024 Finland introduced a new insurance,- and tax system for Vehicles. Noone seems to know exactly how this was meant to work according to racebikes and representatives has tried to get calification and exempts for the track racers, but at the moment one is forced to take a few steps to be able to safely race in Finland.
