Saku Purtilo on his way to Italy

FIM Flat track World Championship starts this week. Riders from all over the world is entering and among them reigning Champion the American Sammy Halbert. There are not many Noirdic rider though but again Finland steps up and defend the colors of Santa lands.

Saku Purtilo is only 16 years old and alredy making his first apperance in the FIM Flat track World Championship. One can say he is carrying the heritage after two time world Champion Lasse Kurvinen who just a couple of days ago held his career ending party in Finland. Yes Kurvinen has been coaching Purtilo from time to time, but without a 100 procent dedication from team manager and father JP Purtilo this huge commitment would not have been possible this early in Saku Purtilos career.

Saku seems to be well prepared, but its a tough task challenging much older, extremly fast and experienced riders for the firts time.

“The goal is to learn and develop” said Purtilo in an earlier interview.
