Who will challenge the Finns in the Pro class of Viking Cup?

Registrations for this years Nordic battle is coming in as we speaks, but there is for sure a trend too clear to ignore – The Pro Open is so far all about Finland. Yesterday evening another two Finns signed up and they, like the rest, are familiar riders known from the speed show the Finns one Norweigan and one Czech offered during last years races. There is of course still time to register and we really looking forward to have a country battle in this class cause even if they are really really really good looking, and fast, there are several fast riders from both Sweden and Norway as well as other European countrys who are able to give the fast, and good looking, Finns some serious competion.

With #477 Riku Haapamäki and #59x Olli Mäkäle signed up for this years Viking cup Team Finland is almost complete. We do miss the most experienced riders, # 365 Lasse Kurvinen two-time World Champion and the nine time Ice Road Racing Champion #69 Mikko Koskinen, but if they dont register this will of course give riders like Mäkele and Haapamäki an opportunity to fight for the podiums.

Team spirit of Finland is great and last year Ossi Rantala, Riku Haapamäki, Olli Mäkele, Santeri Toppari and their mechanics showed up at Vetlanda round wearing team shirts from Biltema with what we suspect Finns enjoy most, makkara (hot dogs) printed all over. We are looking forward to first round of the cup and we do hope that riders from the other Nordic countrys are up for a fight against Team Makkara and the rest of the Finns signed up in the Pro class.

Olli Mäkele ended up on a total 8th place and Riku Haapamäki on 6th and we are pretty sure both this riders will push a little bit harder this year mixing up with the very top.
